Deadspace 3 Limited Edition – Trailer and features...

Limited Edition Includes First Contact Bundle First Contact Suit – This unique Extra-Vehicular Activity suit was built by the SCAF for encounters with “foreign entities”. It sports a flamboyant golden finish to provide protection from long term space exposure and thick armor for… unspecified reasons. The suit was given the nickname “First Contact” by the scientists who made it. Negotiator Weapon – While technically classified by the SCAF as a “scientific instrument”, the gold-plated “Negotiator” sports some surprisingly aggressive hardware. The overclocked, top-mounted Tesla Beam is capable of bursting a man-sized organism into several pieces with a single shot. The bottom-mounted Linegun appears to have been built with the sole purpose of cleanly dismembering organic tissue from a distance. Witness The Truth Bundle Witness Suit – These insulated suits were worn by an SCAF deep dig team assigned to exhume the darkest secrets of Tau Volantis. Whatever they found locked deep in the ice changed them forever. When they emerged weeks later, they were covered head to toe in strange graffiti and claimed to be “Witnesses to the Truth”. Evangelizer Weapon – A modification of the standard AL-2 used by the Sovereign Colonies Legionaries, this version sports a souped-up AL-2g assault rifle on the top with an Emerson 2100 “Big Boy” tactical shotgun on the bottom. The surviving “Witnesses” of the SCAF deep dig team dubbed it the “Evangelizer” and decorated them top to bottom with strange...
Lionsgate pipped to make Dead Island Movie
posted by GMag Editor
Lionsgate has purchased the rights to make a Dead Island film based purely on the hype generated by the impressive trailer. The announcement was made today and Lionsgate had very little to say about the content of the game, but focused heavily on how many times the trailer was viewed online and how many publications called it the best trailer ever. Lionsgate’s co-COO and Motion Picture Group President Joe Drake said, “This is exactly the type of property we’re looking to adapt at Lionsgate – it’s sophisticated, edgy, and a true elevation of a genre that we know and love. It also has built in brand recognition around the world, and franchise potential.” Lionsgate has no concrete plans on directors or actors at the moment, but they do have Sean Daniel producing who was involved in films like The Mummy, Tombstone, and Dazed and Confused. Click here to read about some of the original Dead Island film rumors, and click here to read our full Dead Island review. And finally click here if you want to watch Andrew Reiner and Phil Koller play Dead Island. Lionsgate president Joe Drake announced that they will be making a Dead Island movie. “Like the trailer that will serve as its primary creative inspiration, the film Dead Island will be an innovation of the zombie genre because of its focus on human emotion, family ties and non-linear storytelling. Said Drake of the property’s acquisition, “Like the hundreds of journalists and millions of fans who were so passionate and vocal about the Dead Island trailer, we too were awestruck.” He continued, “This is exactly the type of property we’re looking to adapt at Lionsgate – it’s sophisticated, edgy, and a true elevation of a genre that we know and love. It also has built in brand recognition around the world, and franchise potential.” The producer will be Sean Daniel, who also produced The Mummy, Tombstone, and Dazed and Confused. No word on the actors that will be involved or the director that will take the project. About the trailer: The main purpose of a debut trailer is to give you sense of remembrance for the media. Once you see a debut trailer it has to embed the content into your mind so that when the property releases, you remember it. Well, there’s no denying that Dead Island’s debut trailer was one worth remembering, and it’s a trailer gamers are still talking about to this very day. Nevertheless, this was another hard decision because the debut trailer category consisted of amazing debut trailers, including Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 3 and Epic Games’ real-time next-gen trailer called The Samaritan, which showed off dazzling new features for the Unreal Engine 3. However, only one trailer created waves like no other trailer this year and that honor goes to Dead Island. Directed by Stuart Aitken from Axis Studios and made in collaboration with Deep Silver, the Dead Island debut cinematic sequence easily surpassed 2 million views shortly after it went online and within two days movie studios were vying for the rights to the Dead Island movie license. Deep Silver’s global business development director and acting producer on the project, Malte Wagener, stated that… “We set out to create a rather unique trailer concept that would focus on delivering emotion and atmosphere while transporting the key elements and features of Dead Island. With the help of Axis and the great collaboration between our cinematic Director, Anton Borkel and his team and Axis’ own Stuart Aitken, we ended up creating something that was a breathtaking combination of pictures, story and music which formed an atmosphere of intensity that – for us – was beyond words.” … “Axis exceeded all our high expectations and then some on this project and really hit this one out of the park.” The reverse sequencing for the following trailer easily makes it one...
Twilight “Breaking Dawn” true blood sport...

Robert Pattinson and Kristen Stewart get busy on the big screeen in the long-awaited “Twilight” sequel “Breaking Dawn, Part 1″ this weekend, but movie critics are turning the film into a blood sport. The fourth installment in the “Twilight” series is getting ravaged by most major critics, even as studio Summit Entertainment predicts a blockbuster weekend. The studio estimates the film will book a three-day gross of $125 million. Other estimates put the figure as high as $148 million, which would be near a new record for “Twilight” openings. But out of 33 reviews tracked so far by movie Web site rottontomatoes, “Breaking Dawn” has scored a lowly 26 percent rating. And, that’s rotten. The notable exception to the torrent of bad reviews is none other than the snobby New York Times, which carries about as much influence as print publications can these days. Chief Critic Manola Dargis gave the movie a thumbs up, albiet a reluctant one. “[It's] the best of the movies about a girl, her vampire and their impossible, ridiculously appealing — yes, I surrendered — love story,” she wrote. “Little Bella is all grown up now, and while Edward is still more zomboid than juicily predatory, this time not everything else on screen is dead too,” she adds. She also gives high marks to director Bill Condon for breathing some life into the story. If only other critics were so kind. “What remains is the total conviction that the ludicrous scenes are dead serious and fiercely meaningful. The result is not quite a laugh a minute, but close,” wrote Rafer Guzman of Newsday. It goes downhill from there. “The sexless, bloodless, padded and plodding ‘Breaking Dawn, Part 1′ is the worst Twilight movie to date,” escoriated Peter Travers of Rolling...
